• AISI 4145H round steel cut by sawing machines are the raw materials of PDC bit.

• The suitable PDC bit size is from 3” to 36” in both steel and matrix body.

• By using new surface wear-resistant materials and the feature of positive and negative ions, PDC bits become more effective in preventing mud packs.

• PDC bits has been optimized structure design. Through increase the narrow area in the bit design, it can deepen the waterway, and reasonably improve the blade thickness, so as to maximize the flow area in the use of the bit and improve the chip removal ability of the bit.

• By using the bottom hole simulation and nozzle optimization design, the number and position of nozzles can be reasonably arranged to prevent mud balling more effectively.

• About the steel material of roller cone bit, the 15MnNi4Mo steel is used for the cone of roller cone bits, and the 15CrNiMo steel is used for the palm of roller cone bits.

• The suitable sizes of tricone bit is from 4 ¾” to 36” in both TCI and Mill tooth.

• During the processing of tricone bit ,the precision of CNC lathes is ±0.01mm , it can meet all the turning requirements. And after turning a certain numer of pieces, we must change the tool of lathes to make sure the precision of machine.

• Use the cobalt welding wire to hard facing the small axis, big axis on the bearing and the top of roller bits leg, to increase the abrasive resistance of roller bits.
